A Live Workshop

with Shifu Yan Xin

In a time where the world feels uncertain, fast-moving, and constantly changing, it’s easy to feel unsettled.

You may notice it in small ways:

  • feeling more rushed than usual

  • tension building in the body

  • reacting more quickly to things

  • difficulty switching off or finding clarity

  • a sense of being slightly out of sync

Why this happens

In Chinese philosophy, spring is governed by the Wood element, connected to the body’s Liver system.

This system plays an important role in:

  • how smoothly energy flows through the body

  • the health and flexibility of the tendons

  • emotional balance (especially stress, frustration, or rising anger)

  • clarity of mind and sense of direction

As spring energy rises, everything begins to move and expand.

But if that movement is not balanced, it can show up as:

  • tightness and stiffness in the body

  • restlessness or agitation

  • emotional tension or irritability

  • lack of focus, motivation, or direction

What this workshop offers

In this live session, Shifu Yan Xin will guide you through a series of traditional Shaolin practices, including:

  • Qi Gong to regulate and restore liver energy flow

  • Ba Duan Jin (Eight Brocades) to open the body and improve circulation

  • Yi Jin Jing (Muscle & Tendon Classic) to strengthen and release the tendons

  • Five Animal movements to awaken natural movement and coordination

  • Six Healing Sounds to release internal tension and emotional stress

These practices are simple, accessible, and guided step by step.

No force. No pressure to perform.

Just a gradual return to awareness and flow.

What changes when energy flows again

When the body begins to open and energy moves more freely:

  • the body feels lighter and more flexible

  • the breath becomes deeper and more natural

  • the mind becomes clearer and more focused

  • emotions feel calmer and more balanced

a sense of direction - and even zest for life - begins to return
